The “All You Can Eat” project Is a food based series that is aimed to highlight pioneers in the food world. Active Ride Shop kicked the 4 part series off by creating a capsule with China Town heavyweight Howlin' Ray's. Johnny Ray and the team have come onto the scene with some force and show no signs of slowing down. “The Sando” lives up to the hype and draws parallel to Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Yes, it’s the perfect Chicken Sandwich. The daily scene in front of Howlin Rays makes you feel like you are in line to for a Nike SB Dunk drop. Beyond that, what really makes Howlin Ray’s special is the culture that Johnny has created. Active hopes to share that experience in an effort to inspire and rejuvenate. As part of Active Ride Shops new “All You Can Eat” series, they teamed up with the famous Howlin’ Ray’s Nashville Hot Chicken in Chinatown, Los Angeles. From merchandise to product design they all worked together to come up with the perfect collaboration. I had the honor of designing and help design some of the merchandise and product for the special event. Here is a video recap & photos of some of my work from the special invite only dinner event that included limited tees, hats, pins, & decks for the release. Active Ride Shop strives to support skateboarding in all communities that they reside in and to be the number one destination for all skateboards needs. Since 1989, they have been committed to providing Southern California with the best skate product selection and shopping experience possible. From 90’s cartoons to tattoo parlor flash sheets, Active’s printable program depended work to be done in a variety of styles as latest trends. They put a lot of time in research ideation and trying to gather more obscure inspiration to keep things fresh. The seasonal shelf life allowed me to have a lot of fun and freedom to artwork. Moving the Active brand further, Active created the Active R/S line of skateboard inspired clothing. Under the Active R/S label they manufacture a full line of clothing including Graphic Tees, Sweaters, Button-ups, Hats, and more. Active R/S has become so popular and gained so much support within the industry, that they are proud to say they are one of the first skate shops to sponsor a professional skateboarder solely under the shop’s clothing line. I was lead designer on the Active R/S Ontario Mills pop-up store-opening project, which opened early September 2017. This was the only store designed for Active R/S only product for the die-hard skateboarder customer. From the front to the back of the store I wanted customers to visually know the history of Active R/S before they even entered. Here are some photos of the finished store in which you can go visit in Southern California at the Ontario Mills mall.
Toyota Motor Corporation was founded in 1937, and has developed multiple brands under the Toyota Corporation including a luxury brand, Lexus, and a millennial-generation brand, Scion. Toyota scored highest in overall Brand Perception and in 2012; Toyota introduced their “Let’s Go Places” advertising campaign that we see today; replacing “Moving Forward,” their slogan since 2004. In 2015 I created the new slogan for Toyota of San Bernardino “We Got What You Need” to bring a brand new marketing strategy targeting the millennial generation throughout the Inland Empire. The work consisted of logo re-branding, situational analysis, S.W.O.T analysis, communication objectives, media objectives, budget allocation, media schedule and creative strategy.
Nike is one of the biggest athletic companies known throughout the world. They dominate in almost every sport for brand identity and recognition for what they stand for. I had the opportunity to develop a web page strictly for Nike and what they had to offer for Active Ride Shop website.
CSUSB Recreational Sports kicks off the new academic year with a fun and unique interactive showcase of programs for students. They put together an action packed night of fun, games, music and prizes where programs will be taking place throughout the night. Working with CSUSB Recreational Sports I designed a new logo for their amazing fun packed night along with wristbands and a flyer/banner. This event brought in over 10,000 people to attend the 2015 Late Night event which was the most people they had ever had attend the event.
Aerobot is a manufacturing company for engineering drones. Their man focus is supply security and defense for household purposes or for commercial use. This is the rebranding of the company in which I felt was a good look and feel for the design and structure of the company.
